Well, to get the senior year started of right I was blessed with the opportunity to work with Gabby! When we first met we talked about possibly shooting in Seattle, and I am so happy that she went with the big city! We started the session up close to Westlake Center, made a quick stop at Pike Place and the world known Gum Wall, then ventured back down towards the ferry and wharf area to finish there. She was an absolute joy to work with and I think it shows in the pictures as they are some seriously awesome stuff!
Well just when you think you have finally taken your last picture of a 2016 senior you get a text message from a mom who wants to do an end of the year session on top of the one we shot at the beginning of the year! Needless to say I am glad I had the opportunity to work with Lizzy and Irene again as we got some really awesome stuff! We also got to shoot in Downtown Poulsbo, which in my three years here in Poulsbo have never had the chance to shoot down there with a senior. Chasing the remaining sun (and trying to fit in as many outfits as we could) we ended our session at an awesome location I love up close by where I live. The shots turned out amazing, but I will let you all be the judge of that!!
It's not often I shoot a senior two weeks before their graduation, but I was lucky enough to do so for Sierra! After discussing the details with her mother Michelle I knew this was going to be a great shoot! I mean who couldn't be excited to get the chance to take pictures of a girl and her horse on the beach?
This year I have had the opportunity to shoot out at Point No Point more than a dozen times, but this shoot brought on a new location in Hansville, Buck Lake. With it came this super awesome tree that with a little help, and luck, we were able to get a really awesome shot. Needless to say the location didn't disappoint! Sierra rocked every location and every pose and was a joy to work with! I think it shows in the pictures!
It has been a while since I have posted a blog. Life has been a little crazy with finishing my masters degree as well as my wife giving birth to our second baby, Darbee Jane, and lastly celebrating my big guy's 3rd birthday. Even with all that going on I was able to squeeze in a senior/family session with Tessa and her family.
I met Tessa a couple years back as part of my employer's school outreach program where we help local students build Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs). Needless to say I built most of her ROV. Fast-forward to 2016 and she hadn't change a bit. She was awesome to work with and made capturing amazing shots effortless. Next up for Tessa is the huge hurdle of joining the United States Army!
Would you look at that! Spring has sprung and the school year is approaching its end. 2016 seniors are counting the days until they are freed and 2017 seniors are counting the days until they become seniors themselves! What does this mean for you? It's time to start thinking about booking a session for your senior pictures! Better yet you should contact us to sign up to be a senior rep! Where the skinny:
2017 Senior Reps
Limited to two (2) from Kingston High School and Poulsbo High School
Includes a free session at 1-2 locations of your choice (willing to extend to Central Kitsap if there is enough interest). Locations can be anywhere in Kitsap County and Seattle (other locations are negotiable :) ) Also included is 20-30 fully retouched hi res images on a custom thumb drive and 1 16x24 gallery wrapped canvas (for mom to hang up on the wall to show all her friends and family)
You are probably now thinking what is the catch. There really isn't one. All you have to do is refer three (3) other 2017 seniors to us! If you refer more than that it is totally ok! Every senior over three will result in more goodies for you!
This offer will only last as long as it takes to find 2 from each school and it is first come first serve! If you have any question or if you want to go ahead and reserve your spot feel free to send us an email or give us a jingle!

A lot of business I get comes from referrals, so I just wanted to say thank you to Courtney Reese for the kind words! As a photographer, I have a list of locations that I dream of shooting at and Seattle is one of them. Living in Washington for the last 13 years I have only shot in Seattle once while I was an intern for Captured Moments Photography in Oak Harbor, WA. Thankfully Eli and Justin contacted me as they were planning for a beautiful outdoor wedding at Gas Works Park in Seattle! The only problem was Mother Nature chose not to be nice and provided us lots of rain the entire day! Even with the crummy weather, Justin, Eli and all his friends rocked their Disney themed get ups and were a blast to be around. I wish you guys the best of luck and safe travels on your journey over seas!
Little over a year ago I was on a search for local senior reps (I am currently searching for two reps from Kingston, North, Central and South Kitsap so if you are interested gimme a jingle as it is first come first serve!) and lucky for me Tatyanna contacting me. We had to reschedule quite a few times, but I am glad we got it to work as her pictures were awesome!
Right from the beginning of talking wedding plans with Jayme and Mike I knew it was going to be great. The Seahawks had recently lost to the Patriots in the Super Bowl on a play that left many people stumped as to why they didn't use a little beast mode. Come to find out Jayme was from the New England area and her family are all Patriots fans. If you know Mike you know he is a graduate of WSU, so its safe to say that his family are Seahawks fans. Fast forward to the day of their wedding and a few 100000000 deflated jokes and these two were awesome. From the pink socks and 90s shades, to the wonderful rendition of Still Of the Night performed by none other than Mike and his college buddy this weeding was awesome!
Well its been a while since I had posted a blog as its been one super busy summer for us! Not too long ago I was contacted by Kelly, who's daughter Kaley is a 2016 senior at Kingston High School. After much discussion of time, location, and outfits it was also decided that Kaley's life long friend Abby would also like to have her senior pictures done.
Fast forward to the sessions and we settled on both Port Gamble, Wa and Point No Point out by Hansville, Wa. Both locations are absolutely beautiful if you haven't been there before! Both Kaley and Abby toughed a rain filled first day in Port Gamble, but luckily the weather was better suited for pictures out at Point No Point. After two days of shooting, two awesome locations, and 10 total different outfit choices we got some really amazing shots!
Recently I was contacted by Courtney in need of family pictures. Her wife Korrine is currently stationed onboard the USS John C. Stennis, so we needed to move quick to get the session done before her next underway period. For those who haven't had the privilege (sarcasm) of dealing with US Navy ship movements an underway period can be weeks or months. They use this time to qualify and test the crew before deployment. These can become tiresome because the deployment hasn't even started and they are already spending months on end away from their loved ones!
Anyways, back to the session and pictures with Courtney's family. After emailing back and forth we settled on Kitsap Memorial. Honestly, if you haven't been there please go. There are so many beautiful spots that it seems never-ending. They also had loved the location that is currently my cover photo on my Facebook page and thankfully they are pretty close in terms of location. All I can say is if I were to gauge what the session would be like from the first 5 seconds it would sum up the whole shoot. Little Miss Aela ran right out of their car and gave me a hug. She had a huge smile and it honestly never left her face.!
One of the best ways to promote my business is through word of mouth. I had recently photographed a small, but awesome wedding for Ashley and Ben when I received a message from a few of her friends in need of pictures. Callie was looking for pictures of her 2 y/o daughter and husband David. David is currently an active duty sailor assigned to the USS John C. Stennis. In need of pictures quickly due to the ever changing schedule of a carrier, we were able to squeeze them in really quick! We were able to get some really beautiful stuff at one of my favorite locations, Kitsap Memorial State Park. Lets just say that little Miss Charlotte keep me on the move!
Back when I first moved to Poulsbo I was contacted by Brooke. She said that she was unable to locate the normal photographer she had used before and was in need of maternity pictures. Little did I know that the maternity session would turn into a newborn session to celebrate the arrival of little Miss Sophie, a Christmas session, Sophie's 1st birthday, and their most recent family session. I absolutely love this family and Hunter and Sophie are two of the cutest, sweetest kids I have had the privilege to photograph. Here is to many more session with them in the future!
Well this year has been many first. One of which was getting a website. With the website I was hoping to get a farther reach and I accomplished that as Jessica was the first person to contact me about photographing her wedding. Before the wedding we agreed on meeting up for an engagement session. This way we could meet and get to know each other before the big day because for me building that relationship before hand is very important. We set a date and location and met at this little park in Gig Harbor. I have lived in Washington for 13 years and this was the first time I had ever been in Gig Harbor. It was absolutely beautiful and I highly recommend it to everyone! Now on to the pictures!
So, Jessica was one of my winners of my giveaway a few months back and we were finally able to get a time that worked for everyone! Jessica wanted some at their house first and then head to the Silverdale waterfront. Needless to say the whole session was a hoot and Bob and Chris made it very interesting!
A few months ago I set out to find some 2016 senior reps for North Kitsap High School. Through a mutual friend I was introduced to Lizzy and Sage. They are both competitive cheerleaders and love horses. Naturally when discussing what they were looking for in their pictures the thought of having a horse in the session was a must. Additionally, they wanted a beach location and the only beach in all of Kitsap County that is actually sand and not rocks was Point No Point in Hansville, Washington.
These two were a ton of fun and super easy to work with! With the help of my good friend Tim of Klip Studios we were able to get some really awesome stuff! Please show them some love by leaving comments!
Also if you are interested in booking your 2016 Senior session now is the time! I am currently booked through August, so don't wait any longer to give us a jingle or drop us an email!

When Dahinelle contacted me a few months ago about getting pictures done of here one year old Keeva, I had this idea I had wanted to do for a seriously long time! When asked about possible themes we were able to narrow it down to woodland fairy and a throw back to Grease's Pink Ladies. Dahni opted for woodland fairy and I am SOO glad she chose that route! The best thing is the location is their yard! The lighting was beautiful, the colors were vivid and Keeva was as cute as can be!
Back at the beginning of the year when I posted my session giveaway I had no idea if it was going to work. Were people even going to want a free session from me? I also had no idea who would end up winning! Here enters Ashley and Ben!
After announcing that they had won Ashley and I started trying to decide what kind of pictures we should do. This discussion at one point even included their cat, but we decided instead to celebrate their recent engagement we should do an engagement session!
With the help of my friend Tim of Klip Studios, we met Ashley and Ben at Kitsap Memorial here in beautiful Poulsbo, Washington. It was a smidge cold, but they braved it well and we were able to get some amazing shots!
Fast forward to a few months ago and Ashley was planning a small get together of friends, nothing big to have a nice little ceremony before Ben, who is in the US Navy, deployed. Next thing I know its turned into a full blown wedding at a beautiful location over looking the water in Bremerton!
The wedding was beautiful and the love between these two was amazing. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to capture such an important day in their lives and look forward to many more pictures in the future! I wish you both the best in your journey together!
Now onto what you all came here for… the pictures!!
So, I met Carmella at an awesome wedding last August for a friend of hers. Not much long she contacted me wanting to do some Christmas family pictures, but weren't able to make it work with both of our crazy schedules. Fast forward to May and we were finally able to make it happen! Go figure that the weather was beautiful for weeks and weeks and the day before and the day of the shoot it had to be overcast. Thankfully it was dry outside, so we were able to get some really beautiful and much need family pictures for them! The girls were fun to work with even if one wanted to be in every picture and the other would have much rather spent her time throwing rocks. That being said I think they turned out beautiful!
A few weeks ago I was contacted by a friend of mine who is currently deployed to Japan. His wife, who is back here in Washington was approaching her due date with their first child and was looking for some maternity pictures. After some discussion with Jennifer, we finally settled on my old stomping grounds during my time in the navy and had a nice session at Fort Casey. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Fort Casey, it is one of three forts near the entrance of the Puget Sound known as the Triangle of Fire. The reason for the forts was to keep the enemy out of the Puget Sound yet none of them ever saw battle.
Now as for the pictures we got really lucky to have such a beautiful day out for some seriously beautiful pictures! Jennifer was a trooper by going into the frigid cold waters of the Pacific Northwest, and also trekking up the hills into the fort, but I think we were able to capture everything she was looking for! Please show her some love!
Point No Point Park
Well this family session was planned for months and all the days leading up to it were beautiful. As a matter of fact hours before the shoot it was a bright sunny day without a rain cloud to be seen! Wouldn't you know it on my way to the location a dark ominous cloud was hanging out right above and seemed to be following me! When Ashley, Mike, little baby Lauren and her grandparents arrived it had started to sprinkle, but we were going to make the best of it! All I can say is these pictures can speak for themselves! They turned out beautiful and we had a fun time capturing them! Maybe next time we will actually get lucky and have nothing but sunny weather!
